About BrahMos Missile :

  • Developed as an Indo-Russian joint venture, BrahMos boasts a range of 290 km and a top speed of Mach 2.8, making it the world’s fastest cruise missile.
  • Named after the rivers Brahmaputra and Moskva, it features a two-stage propulsion system (solid propellant and liquid ramjet).
  • It is versatile, deployable from land, air, and sea, and renowned for its pinpoint accuracy day or night, in any weather condition.
  • Operating on the “Fire and Forget” principle, BrahMos requires no further guidance post-launch.
