Bilateral Collaborations

  • Key Agreements: India and Nepal signed several pacts during the India-Nepal 7th Commission, including a significant agreement for India to import 10,000 MW of hydroelectricity over the next decade.
  • Financial Assistance: India has pledged a financial package of Nepali Rs 1,000 crore for infrastructure reconstruction in districts affected by the 2015 earthquake.

·   Discrepancies in defining the river’s source have fueled boundary disputes between the two nations.
