India – Italy Relation

Why in the news?

India and Italy have entered into an agreement known as the “Mobility and Migration Partnership Agreement” to facilitate the movement of workers, students, and professionals between the two countries.

  • Additionally, a Cultural Exchange Programme has also been agreed upon between the two nations.
  • Detailed discussions were held on topics such as the situation in West Asia, the conflict in Ukraine, and developments in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Jaishankar expressed appreciation for Italy’s support of India’s initiatives and for Italy’s role during its G20 Presidency.

Italy’s Geography
