India has been elected to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for a two-year term (2026–28). About India’s Election to ECOSOC:

• India has been elected as a member of the UN’s Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the 2026–28 term. This India term in ECOSOC is expected to bring significant contributions to global development initiatives, building on the momentum of the IIAS presidency.
