Ayushman Bharat’s coverage extended to individuals above 70 years old.
Rollout of U-WIN portal for digitizing routine vaccinations in the health ministry’s 100-day agenda under JP Nadda’s leadership.

About U-WIN Portal:

Purpose: Electronic registry for routine immunizations, based on Co-WIN model.
Implementation: Under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, piloted in two districts per state/UT.
Registration and Vaccination: Registers and vaccinates pregnant women. Records delivery outcomes and newborn registrations.
Information Hub: Central source for immunization services under Universal Immunization Programme (UIP).
Vaccine Acknowledgement: Generates immunization card linked to Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID for pregnant women and children.

About Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission:

Launch: September 2021 by the Prime Minister via video conference.
Objective: Provide digital health IDs to all Indian citizens for electronic health record access.
Implementation: Pilot phase in six States & Union Territories, led by National Health Authority (NHA).
Health ID: Issued for every citizen, serving as a health account.
Creates Healthcare Professionals’ Registry (HPR) and Healthcare Facilities Registry (HFR).
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Sandbox: Framework for technology and product testing, aiding private players in joining the national digital health ecosystem.
