What is Marijuana?

●   Derived from Cannabis plant, used for medical, recreational & religious purposes.

●   Consumption methods: smoking, vaporization, ingestion, or extracts.

●   Effects include altered perception, increased appetite, short-term memory loss, dry mouth, impaired motor skills, and potential long-term addiction and cognitive issues.

What is Cannabis?

●   Cannabis, from the plant Cannabis sativa, is the most widely cultivated and abused illicit drug globally.

●   Its psychoactive component, Delta9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is responsible for its effects.

●   Forms include hashish (resin), cannabis oil (concentrate), and ganja (flowering tops), covered by the NDPS Act.

●   Charas is resin extracted from the plant, while bhang, made from leaves, and CBD oil, from cannabidiol, aren’t outlawed.
