●   Cannabis refers to three plants: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis, with psychoactive properties.

●   It contains over 120 cannabinoids, notably CBD and THC.

●   Commonly termed ‘marijuana’ in many countries.

●   In India, cannabis cultivation is legal in Uttarakhand and controlled in districts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

●   The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (1985) regulates cannabis in India.
