What are Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) ?

●   10% EWS quota introduced under the 103rd Constitution Amendment Act, 2019.

●   Amendments: Added Article 15(6) and Article 16(6) for economic reservation in jobs and educational admissions.

●   Purpose: Provides opportunities for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) not covered by existing reservation policies.
