Earth Hour

News: Globally, millions of individuals recently observed Earth Hour.

An international grassroots movement called Earth Hour unites people to take action on environmental problems and safeguard the environment.

WWF is in charge of organizing it. (WWF).

In 2007, WWF and collaborators began it in Sydney as a symbolic lights-out occasion.

Every year, it happens on the final Saturday in March.

To raise awareness of the problems posed by climate change and to encourage energy saving, “Earth Hour” encourages people to turn off all lights for one hour between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. local time.

In order to increase public awareness of the negative effects of energy usage on the environment, governments and businesses also take part by turning off non-essential lights in their structures, monuments, and landmarks.

The “lights off” moment, a symbolic action that connects people all across the world in support of the earth, acts as a reminder of the pressing environmental concerns we are now dealing with.
