About the e-Shram Portal Achievements:
Launch and Adoption:
Launched on August 26, 2021, by the Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE).
Over 30 crore unorganised workers have registered in just three years, reflecting rapid adoption and extensive reach.
Integration and Objectives:
The government aims to transform eShram into a “One-Stop-Solution” for unorganised workers by integrating it with various social security schemes.
Integration will include major schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY, AB-PMJAY, PM-SVANidhi, MGNREGA, PMAY-G, and the Ration Card scheme.
The goal is to ensure comprehensive access to these schemes, identify potential beneficiaries who have been left out, and increase awareness of available benefits.
Future Plans and Coordination:
MoLE is focusing on two-way integration with the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) to facilitate seamless registration and service access.
Regular inter-ministerial meetings are being held with various departments to onboard all unorganised workers, including those in health, construction, and rural areas.
Efforts are underway to include workers from ministries like MoPR, MoHFW, and MoRD on the eShram portal.
