Discuss briefly about the centre-state relations which are enabled by the Constitution of India.

Introduction:

The relations between The Centre and states are divided into 3 parts in our constitution. They are:

  1. Article 245-255: Legislative relations
  2. Article 256-263: Administrative relations
  3. Article 268-293: Financial relations.

Conclusion:

The constitution made possible for centre and state to provide governance in which the decisions do not affect each other. Only at times of emergency the state government becomes subordinate to the centre. Even though it seems like centre has more powers than state, power has been divided equitably.
