Union Minister Narayan Rane inaugurates ‘Khadi Mahotsav’ in Mumbai 

News: Narayan Rane, the Union Minister of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Department, opened the Khadi Mahotsav, which is being held in Mumbai on Monday by Khadi and Village Industry (KVIC).

  • He mentioned how KVIC’s company turnover increased from thirty thousand crore rupees in 2014–15 to an astounding one hundred and thirty-four thousand crore rupees.

  • The “Khadi Mahotsav” is scheduled to run through October 31st. It will include ‘Vocal for Local’ exhibitions to support indigenous items in addition to Khadi products.

News: Raquel Peña Rodríguez, the vice president of the Dominican Republic, will be in India from October 3–5, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
