Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit Appointed as Next IAF Vice Chief

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit has been appointed as the next Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force, effective from July 1. With vast experience as a test pilot and strategic planner, his appointment is expected to strengthen operational preparedness and modernisation at Air Headquarters in New Delhi.

Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards Presented

India Records Strong GDP Growth

India’s economy registered a strong GDP growth of 7.7 percent in FY26, with the fourth quarter growing at 7.8 percent. The Reserve Bank of India has projected FY27 growth at 6.6 percent, reflecting continued economic resilience.

Green Fuel Infrastructure Expansion

India is expanding its green fuel ecosystem with a target of 500 flex-fuel pumps by 2026 and 5,000 by 2027. The launch of E85 fuel, containing 85 percent ethanol, is a major step under the Ethanol Blending Programme.

Andhra Pradesh’s First Semiconductor Project

Visakhapatnam will host Andhra Pradesh’s first semiconductor project at Tarluvada. The ₹2,387 crore OSAT facility is expected to produce 96 million units annually and generate around 1,000 direct jobs.
