  • The camp, located in Bishnupur district, belonged to the India Reserve Battalion (IRB) of the Manipur Police.
  • Officials believe such attacks will persist until a political solution is reached to address the ongoing crisis in the region.
  • Over 200 casualties have been reported in Manipur since May 2023, stemming from ethnic violence between tribal Kuki-Zo and Meitei communities.
