Why in the news?

  • The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) is questioning the delay in publishing the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI-IW) for February and March.
  • CITU is urging the Labour Ministry to release the AICPI-IW data promptly, as it’s crucial for regulating wages and policy formulations.
