Criticism:
India is in the transformation phase when it comes to data and mobility. A high percentage of rural population are yet to experience the high speed data and its related benefits. These schemes have not reached them as intended. The intermediaries who are providing such schemes in rural areas are asking for hefty fees. Lack of awareness is a major hurdle to these type of schemes where lesser knowledged-people are made scapegoats. Also, linking it to Aadhar has faced lot of criticism that government is behaving autonomously by acquiring data of the users.
Conclusion:
Implementation of such programs will naturally take place in a longer span of time. But the end benefits will be fruitful. Continuous awareness creation will contribute to the success of the schemes along with the proper punishments for mishandlers.
