BHIL TRIBALS RENEW DEMAND FOR SEPARATE BHIL PRADESH
Why in the news?
- Bhil tribal community demands a separate state, “Bhil Pradesh,” carving out 49 districts from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
- The demand was highlighted at a “maha sammelan” in Mangarh Dham, Rajasthan on July 18.
- Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), formed by first-time MP R. K. Roat, champions this cause after its recent success in Lok Sabha polls.
