AYUSHMAN BHARAT HEALTH ACCOUNT (ABHA)
News
- According to the Health Ministry, over 1.5 crore patients have accessed the ABHA-based instant OPD registration service, and approximately 50 crore people have an ABHA number as their unique health identity.
- More than 50 lakh people use the ABHA app to digitally manage their health records, according to a release from the Ministry.
- It further stated that up to this point, more than 33 crore patient ABHA accounts have been connected to health records.
About ABHA
- The ABHA number is a 14-digit code that identifies you as a participant in India’s digital healthcare ecosystem.
- Across the nation, payers and healthcare providers will recognize and value the strong and reliable identity that your ABHA number will create.
- A person can voluntarily create their ABHA number and participate at their own free will.
- Additionally, you can request the temporary or permanent deactivation of your ABHA number at any time.
