Ayush Ministry is currently running a Central Sector Scheme titled AYURSWASTHYA Yojana.

What is AYURSWASTHYA Yojana?

  • About:
    • It has two components:
      • AYUSH and Public Health: To promote AYUSH intervention for community health care.
    • Improvements to the Center of Excellence’s infrastructure: To encourage the construction of cutting-edge/specialized AYUSH medical health units in reputable AYUSH and Allopathic institutions in the public and private sectors.
    • Financial aid is given to qualified organisations and institutions under the AYURSWASTHYA Yojana’s Centre of Excellence component in order to construct and improve their facilities and/or conduct AYUSH-related research and development.
  • Funding:
    • The maximum admissible financial assistance under the Centre of Excellence component of AYURSWASTHYA Yojana, to an organization/institute is Rs.10.00 crores for a maximum period of three years.

What are the other Schemes Related to AYUSH?

  • National Ayush Mission: The Mission works to close the country’s health care gaps by assisting State/UT Governments in delivering AYUSH health services and education, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas.
  • New Portals on Ayush Sector: CTRI (Clinical Trial Registry of India), RMIS (Research Management Information System), SAHI (Showcase of Ayurveda Historical Imprints), AMAR (Ayush Manuscripts Advanced Repository), and e-Medha (electronic Medical Heritage Accession) have been launched.
  • AYUSH Entrepreneurship Programme: For the purpose of boosting the AYUSH sector in the nation under various MSME Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Schemes, it was jointly conducted by the Ministries of AYUSH and MSME.
  • Ayush Wellness Centers: AWC was established to create a holistic wellness model based on AYUSH principles and practises, emphasising healthcare that is preventative, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative by integrating with the current public health care system.
  • ACCR Portal and Ayush Sanjivani App: It is conceptualized and developed by the Ministry of Ayush as a platform to support both Ayush practitioners and the public.
