Assam Cabinet’s Decision on Clause 6 of Assam Accord:
- Assam Cabinet to implement 80% of Justice Biplab Sarma committee’s recommendations on Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.
- 57 out of 67 recommendations to be enforced by April 15, 2025, aimed at safeguarding the land, language, and culture of indigenous communities.
Insurance for State Government Employees:
- State government employees receive ₹1 crore insurance for death or permanent disability due to accidents.
- ₹80 lakh insurance coverage for partial disability cases.
Distribution of Ration Cards:
- 20 lakh people in Assam will receive new ration cards, improving access to essential food supplies.
