What is IAS Olympiad?

IAS is a Dream Career for most of the students. Strong determination, dedication, preparation, focus and proper mentoring are the prerequisites for the success of Civil Service Examinations. Students are lacking in awareness towards these competitive exams irrespective of urban or rural background. In order to create awareness, Universal Group of Institution has stepped into an initiative programme called “IAS OLYMPIAD” – CATCH THEM YOUNG.
The IAS OLYMPIADconductsthe entrance test at the District and State level. The Institution interacts with students from all over Karnataka and the mentoring team ensures enhancing their knowledge about Civil services including syllabus, examination pattern and importance of humanities subjects which motivate them to take up examinations for the posts under civil services. Students are selected for State-level based on their performance in the test conducted by the Universal Coaching Centre (UCC). Those who are selected at the district level and other aspirants are eligible to take the state-level test. Top scored students will be awarded a total cash prize of Rupees One Lakh. The main purpose of this programme is to create awareness not only among students but also parents and teachers.

Objectives of IAS Olympiad

UPSC Civil Services Examination is widely considered as the toughest examination in India, considering the examination duration, preparation, depth of the syllabus and competitions involved. Every year more than 10 Lakh aspirants appear for the UPSC exams and only about 1000 students will come out successful. Preparing for these examinations at the initial stage of their academic education like PUC or graduation level will make students get into civil service at an early age itself.
When we look at the success ratio in IAS/IPS (UPSC)especially among IAScadre more rank holders are from North India when compared to the South, as they are preparing for Civil Services from their early age. The main intention of the ‘IAS Olympiad’ is to create awareness among students and parents from South India especially Karnataka.
The aspirants are advised to have a long-term strategy to clear IAS Examination. The IAS Olympiad team co-ordinates with students and solve their doubts and confusions regarding the UPSC exams. The institution guides them on how to prepare for IAS; Syllabus, exam pattern, study materials, success stories and so on. This basic knowledge inspires them to set their career goal and encourage them to crack the exam successfully. If they are well prepared for UPSC, they will be able to crack any competitive examination and get into a prestigious government job in their future.
