About INS Rajali :
- Location and Operations:
- INS Rajali is an Indian naval air station near Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu.
- Operates under the Southern Naval Command with the longest military runway in Asia.
- Constructed in 1942 for Allied use during World War II.
- Transferred to the Indian Navy in the 1980s, commissioned as INS Rajali on March 11, 1992.
- Significance and Facilities:
- Home to INAS 312 anti-submarine warfare squadron and Helicopter Training School.; facilities for training rotary-wing pilots for Navy and Coast Guard.

INAS 316: ● Named ‘Condors’ after the large flying bird. ● Commissioned to operate four new P-8I aircraft in the Indian Ocean Region. ● Tasked with ‘Deter, Detect, and Destroy’ threats.
