What is Cervical Cancer?

  • Develops in the cervix, ranks as the fourth most prevalent cancer in women globally.

Types of HPV Strains:

  • Persistent infection with certain high-risk HPV strains accounts for nearly 85% of all cervical cancers.
  • About 14 HPV types are oncogenic, with types 16 and 18 being the most significant, responsible for approximately 70% of cases worldwide.
