Inter-collegiate Sports Meet 2022-23

Universal Group Of Institutions in association with Universal School Of Administration and Universal School Of Law is hosting a unique sports and other skills competition to unravel the hidden talents in the sports arena. This would be an excellent platform for local sports players to exhibit their talent and be recognized all over.

🔰 Terms and Conditions:

• It is recommended that each team consists of 8+2 players.
• No LBW rule is applied.
• Extras include (wide, no ball, dead ball, byes, leg byes, overthrows) etc
• If the player hits over the boundary then he will be declared out.
• Underarm bowling is mandatory.
• Pitch-catch is considered out if you catch the ball in one hand.

🔰 Terms and Conditions:

• Three compulsory asanas are to be performed from the given list of asanas.
• No asana will be changed or altered once fixed or obtained by the competitor.
• The marking scheme will include the construction, the holding and the lasting of an asana. Expressions of tension and trembling will also be noted. The final pose will be accepted with a smiling face and pleasant expression.
• Each asana will be of 10 marks. The detailed distribution of these 10 marks will be given by the judges as under: ‐ (i) Way of performance to reach the final stage of the asana ‐1 mark. (ii) Perfect posture of the asana – 4 marks. (iii) Exhibition of the asana without tension and trembling – 2 marks. (iv) Stay in asana for a fixed time – 2 marks. (v) Returning to original position – 1 mark
• Jeans and trousers will not be allowed while performing asanas. Slacks, Shorts and Track Suits are compulsory.
•  Mode of Selection: Participants should perform Suryanamaskara (12counts) + any three asanas from the list, it’s compulsory. Any three optional Asanas from the list.

🔰 Terms and Conditions:

• The touch-move rule: There are some exceptions. If you accidentally brush a piece, you are not required to move it.
•  Interrupting a Chess Game in Progress: Unnecessary walking after starting a match is strictly noticed as a violation of the rules.
• No use of Cell Phone use during chess games.
• Using a Chess Clock: There will be a time limit for each move and for a complete match.
• Recording the Final Results of each candidate in a Chess game.

• The photography contest will be based on a theme that will be announced just before the competition begins
• Images taken with mobile cameras only will be accepted.
• Only colour photos will be accepted for the contest. Black & white photographs or Toned images (like sepia, selenium, etc.) will also not be accepted.
• Submitted photos must be original, created, and taken by the contestant.
• Image Specifications: Image format: JPG/ JEPG Image
• All pictures should be original. Cropping/corrections of brightness, contrast, sharpness, and white balance to enhance the quality or any other editing are not permitted.
• Entries with watermarks/ Individual Names will not be accepted.
• The decisions of the judges are final and binding in all respects.

🔰 Terms and Conditions:

• The competition is open for Under Graduate students only
• The video should be created on the topic of ‘Azadi (1857-1947)-From Raj to Swaraj
• The submission must have audio(narration) and video
• The video created by participants should be original
• The video should not invoke any controversy.
• The ‘title screen’ of the video must have the title of the competition, the presenter’s name, class & college address.
• The timing of the video should not be more than ten minutes and 50MB in size (HD Quality)
• It is mandatory to mention the source of the information presented in the video
• The video can be either in Kannada or English
• Video submissions will be closed after the deadline, 05-12-2022, and no further submissions will be accepted.
• Submissions must be sent to [email protected], and entries cannot be submitted via CDs, DVDs, pen drives or any other physical media.
