As per the exam schedule released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the UPSC civil services prelims exam will be conducted on May 31, 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the country Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of lockdown all over India till May 3rd, 2020. Various state boards, as well as CBSE boards have postponed their exams. All annual and semester exams of other universities & educational institutes across the country have been postponed.
UPSC has postponed personality tests (Interviews) of the candidates for the Civil Service Main Examination, which was scheduled in the months of March and April 2020. Even the National Defense Academy (NDA) exam.
Following the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has postponed the competitive exams like FDA, SDA, KPSC Gazetted probationary posts & others which were scheduled in the months of March, April and May 2020. KPSC has also postponed the departmental exams. The new official dates will be announced will by KPSC.
The speculation of rescheduling the UPSC prelims exam is high. But, there is no official notification released by the commission.
