LAUNCH OF SIMPLIFIED NEW PENSION APPLICATION FORM 6-A LINKED WITH BHAVISHYA
Why in the news?
The New Single Simplified Pension Application Form 6-A will be launched on 30th August’ 2024 by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh.
The form available in Bhavishya’s and e-HRMS will be compulsorily filled up by the Central Government employees retiring from the said date i.e. December, 2024 onwards.

Form Integration with Bhavishya/e-HRMS:
The new form is linked to Bhavishya/e- HRMS eliminating the many steps involved in pensioning.
Higher officials who are retiring and who are using e-HRMS shall enter Form 6-A electronically while other officials shall use Bhavishya.
Nine prior forms/formats are rolled into one, which helps cut down on paperwork and offer the user a practical form.
Government Initiative for Ease of Living:
This is one of DoPPW initiatives in the 100 day’s Action Plan under the policy “Maximum Governance – Minimum Government”.
To reflect these changes, Corrections have been made to the CCS Pension Rules,
It will seek to provide computerised solutions for pension processing where the right form the pensioner’s application to payment is done effectively through banking without the involvement of papers.

Launch and Purpose: e-HRMS, which is expanded in 2017 starting from 25 applications in five; modules; policy and employment, staff, payroll, analytics and learning uses AI in policy formulation and staff administration.
