EC SEIZED ₹10,000CR IN RECORD-BREAKING 2024 ELECTION SEIZURES

Why in the news?

  • Election Commission (EC) seized a record ₹10,000 crore during the 2024 polls.
  • Only 39 repolls were required in 2024, compared to 540 in 2019.
  • High turnout in J&K and Valley; overall voter participation recorded at 64.2%, with 31.2 crore women voters.
