FIR REPORTS 27 OXYGEN CYLINDERS NEAR HOSPITAL WHERE FIRE KILLED INFANTS

Why in the news?

  • A total of 27 oxygen cylinders were found inside and outside Baby Care New Born Child Hospital in Vivek Vihar, where a tragic blaze claimed the lives of seven newborns.
  • Five cylinders exploded during the fire, injuring five infants.
  • A National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) report noted serious safety breaches, including absent emergency exits and dysfunctional fire extinguishers.
