About the Expansion of Quotas:

  • The Ministry of Railways approves quotas for PwDs on all trains, regardless of concessional fare availability.
  • Quotas allocated on reserved express/mail trains, including premium services like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Humsafar, Gatimaan, and Vande Bharat.
  • Quota includes berths in Sleeper Class, three-tier AC, specially designed luggage-cum-guard coaches, and reserved Second Class sitting and AC chair car.
  • Vande Bharat trains allocate four seats for PwDs, along with specially designed seats in specific coaches.
