About the Journey Highlights:
- Indian Naval Sailing Vessel INSV Tarini completes a historic transoceanic voyage, returning to Goa base port after nearly two months.
- Lieutenant Commanders Dilna K. and Roopa A. undertook the expedition in double-handed mode, marking India’s first such achievement.
- Flagged off from Goa on February 28 by renowned circumnavigator Commander Abhilash Tomy (Retd.).
- After navigating through the Indian Ocean’s unpredictable elements for 22 days, INSV Tarini reached Port Louis, Mauritius, on March 21.
- Celebrated milestones include interaction with Mauritian officials, bilateral training sorties with the Mauritius Coast Guard, strengthening maritime ties.
