About the Iran’s Assurances Regarding Detained Crew:

Iran pledges to soon permit Indian officials to meet with the 17 Indian crew members detained after seizing the MSC Aries, an Israel-linked ship.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar intervened, discussing the issue with both Iranian and Israeli Foreign Ministers.
The assurance comes amidst escalating tensions in the region, with India emphasising the need to prevent further escalation due to its significant economic and strategic interests.

Jaishankar emphasises the importance of the region for the global economy, highlighting India’s substantial interests in the Gulf region and maritime trade routes.
