 About the Introduction of E-Power Weeders:

  • Simpson & Co. Ltd., a unit of the Amalgamations Group, aims to electrify its smart agriculture machines, specifically power weeders, for farm mechanisation.
  • Recently launched Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) petrol version of power weeders in select markets like Tamil Nadu, U.P., M.P., and Bihar.
  • Plans to introduce an electric version of the weeders, with prototypes currently in development, although the launch date is yet to be finalised.
About Internal Combustion Engine (ICE):

  • Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) ignites and burns fuel within the engine, converting energy from combustion to work.
