About the Development of Multi-Modal Transport Hubs:

  • Indian Railways to establish mega railway terminals with multi-modal connectivity in cities with over 10 lakh population under ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative.
  • Railway Board directs General Managers to consider extending the project to cities with anticipated high population growth.
  • Additional Member (Planning) seeks suggestions for new locations or stations to include in the initiative.
