CBDT ALERTS ASSESSEES OF FY24 TAX MISMATCHES VIA EMAIL, SMS

Why in the news?

Income Tax Department alerts taxpayers of FY24 tax discrepancies via email/SMS urging correct tax computation and deposit by March 15.

About Emails and SMS Notifications: 

  • The Income Tax Department is notifying taxpayers via emails and SMS about tax mismatches for FY 2023-24 (AY 2024-25).
  • Taxpayers are encouraged to rectify discrepancies by computing and depositing due advance tax by March 15.
