2nd Edition of Financial Technology event

News:

  • Under the auspices of the Union Government, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, or GIFT City, and the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) are hosting the event.
  • The theme of the second Forum edition is “GIFT-IFSC: Nerve Center for New Age Global Financial Services.”
  • The second edition of the Infinity Forum 2.0, which is being organized as a precursor event to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, will take place in a hybrid format.
  • In December 2021, the Forum held its inaugural edition, which attracted over 95,000 registrations from over 80 countries.

  • The Infinity Forum is a global platform for thought leadership in financial services where forward-thinking concepts, urgent issues, and cutting-edge technologies from around the globe are discovered, discussed, and developed into opportunities and solutions.
  • Over the past ten years, India’s Fintech sector has experienced phenomenal growth as a result of the country’s increased use of internet services and India’s fintech market is experiencing rapid growth, with an adoption rate of 87%, compared to the global average of 64%.
Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit

●    The biennial Vibrant Gujarat Summit was created in 2003, with the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi serving as Gujarat’s Chief Minister at the time.

●    The Gujarat government, in partnership with Startup India – Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Electronics & IT, and Department of Science & Technology, is organizing this event.

Fintech:

●   Fintech, short for financial technology, is the term used to characterize new technology aimed at streamlining and automating the provision and consumption of financial services.

●   It encompasses any technological advancement in the financial industry aimed at improving financial education and literacy, such as retail banking, investing, and even cryptocurrency (Decentralised Finance, or DeFi).
