Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to inaugurate 5th Global Ayurveda Festival at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala

  • The 5th Global Ayurveda Festival in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, will open today with an address by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
  • The state capital of Kerala would host the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) 2023 from December 1–5, with the theme “Emerging Challenges in Healthcare and a Resurgent Ayurveda.”
  • GAF 2023, the largest-ever conclave on Ayurveda, will bring together researchers, policymakers, and leaders in the industry from around the world to examine the benefits of this alternative medicine.
  • The event will feature delegations from more than 70 nations, demonstrating the growing acceptance of Ayurveda’s value in addressing issues related to global health.
  • Highlights of the festival include presentations of posters and papers, high-level industry and institutional participation showcasing innovative Ayurvedic-based products, services, and research initiatives, and expert-led scientific sessions focusing on the most recent scientific advancements in Ayurveda.

About Ayurveda:

  • Ayurveda, India’s traditional medicine, has been in practice for nearly 3,000 years and has served the health-care needs of millions of Indians.
