Operation Amanat

News: In a recent successful operation dubbed “Amanat,” the Railway Protection Force (RPF) was able to recover lost or abandoned bags as well as priceless items.

The Railway Protection Force has implemented a fresh idea as part of Operation Amanat to make it simpler for travellers to recover their misplaced luggage.

It aids in finding passengers’ missing property.

An Indian security group known as the Railway Protection group (RPF) is in charge of guarding Indian Railways property, including the passenger area and trains.

The 1957 Railway Protection Force Act created it.

Only this central armed police force—also referred to as a paramilitary force—has the authority to detain, investigate, and convict criminals.

It is governed by the Indian Ministry of Railways.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is used to hire all RPF officers, who are all IRPFS (Indian Railway Protection Force Service) members
