Since the existing trade balance favours Russia, the two parties discussed strategies to improve the balance of trade.

Various topics pertaining to bilateral commerce, economic cooperation, and humanitarian assistance were also covered by both parties.

These discussions included topics pertaining to technology, energy, health care, and education, among many other topics of shared interest.
