The National Startup Advisory Council (NSAC) will have its sixth meeting soon.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade established the National-Startup-Advisory-Council (DPIIT).

It reports to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

It gives advice to the government on the steps that should be taken to create a robust ecosystem for fostering innovation and startups in the nation to drive sustainable economic growth and create numerous job opportunities.

Council members include the Minister of Trade and Industry as chairman.

Joint Secretary of the Department for the Development of Industry and Internal Trade is the Council’s convener.

Ex-officio Members: Individuals nominated by the relevant Ministries, Departments, or Organizations who are at least Joint Secretaries in rank.

Non-official participants who will be proposed by the Central Government.
