Haryana Government’s Parivar Pehchan Patra Scheme : Update
News: The Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) and IT-based welfare programmes of the Haryana government will be on exhibit during the G20 Summit’s first Anti-Corruption Working Group meeting in Gurugram.
- The Haryana government introduced the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) Programme in 2015.
- PPP’s main goal is to compile accurate, verifiable, and comprehensive data on every family in Haryana.
- PPP recognises every single family in Haryana and stores their fundamental information in a digital format with their permission.
- The state government seeks to track all the families residing throughout the state by launching the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), a distinctive identity card.
- Each family is regarded as a single unit for purposes of PPP.
- An eight-digit Family Id will be given to each family.
- The Family ID will be connected to the records of Birth, Death, and Marriage to ensure that the family information is updated automatically as and when such life events take place.
- To take advantage of the state government’s social security programmes, a family must register on the PPP portal.
- Using online means, the PPP system enables citizens to benefit from government programmes and services while seated at home.
- Also, it increases system transparency and gets rid of middlemen, preventing unqualified people from profiting from any schemes.
