Millet International Initiative For Research And Awareness

News: The Millet International Initiative for Research and Awareness will be launched by the Indian government.

 

  • That fits nicely with the goals the UN has for the 2023 International Year of Millets.
  • India participates in the project with the idea of “SEED MONEY.”
  • Seed money, sometimes referred to as seed funding or seed capital, is a type of security offering in which a buyer of securities invests money in a young firm in return for an equity or convertible note interest.
  • The effort will concentrate on millet research and production improvements.
  • Hyderabad-based Indian Institute of Millet Research would support the endeavour technically.

 

MIIRA‘s goals are:

  • to expand the research activities’ skill set and include multiple nations
  • To boost millet consumption globally To boost spending on millet research
