News: The IRCTC provides meals to the travellers on board at least 50,000 times per day. Unauthorized food deliveries have become a growing source of controversy recently. IRCTC launched WhatsApp Food Delivery Facility to improve its services and offer its clients vetted, safe food. +91 – 8750001323 is the WHATSAPP NUMBER.

 

  • Only travellers who make online reservations for tickets are eligible for the service. Additionally, it does not apply to consumers who take local, metro, or passenger trains. There are two steps to it. The customer who is purchasing the ticket receives a message from the IRCTC Whats App number at the initial step.
  • The notification will inquire as to whether the user wishes to utilise IRCTC’s e-catering services. The message will also direct him to the website www.ecatering.irctc.co.in if he is still interested. There is a menu list on the website. The clients will select both the restaurant and the dishes. The restaurants that are close to his route are listed on the website.
  • In the initial stage, the passenger and IRCTC establish two-way communication via Whats APP. An

 

  • to prevent illegal food wholesalers from joining the network of IRCTC catering services. IRCTC recently discovered 11 illegal catering services. They pretended to be IRCTC services representatives. They weren’t, though. The names of these unauthorised food services were released by IRCTC. They included Travel Food, Khanna online, Khana Gadi, E-rail, Food on Train, Train Food, Food on Wheel, Travel Zaika, Railyatri, and more.
