This event, set to take place on 22nd November 2025 at 8:30 AM, is organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, under the esteemed aegis of KSCA (Karnataka State Chess Association) and BUCA (Bangalore University Chess Association).

This chess tournament is designed to nurture young talents and encourage intellectual growth through competition. With age categories ranging from U9 to U15, the tournament promises to bring together chess enthusiasts across different age groups. The categories are as follows:

  • U9 – Born on or after January 1, 2016

  • U11 – Born on or after January 1, 2014

  • U13 – Born on or after January 1, 2012

  • U15 – Born on or after January 1, 2010
