The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) declares 2023-2024 El Niño among the five strongest on record,predicting continued climate impact and above-normal temperatures globally.

What is EL Nino?

What is La Nina?

●   La Niña: Cool phase of ENSO, marked by tropical eastern Pacific cooling.

●   Events last 1-3 years, contrasting with El Niño’s shorter duration.

●   Both peak during the Northern Hemisphere winter.
