Mera Yuva Bharat

News: Under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet authorized the creation of “Mera Yuva Bharat,” or MY-Bharat, an independent organization whose goal is to support development driven by youth.

  • An independent government organization called Mera Yuva Bharat will give the nation’s youth access to opportunities and resources so they can become agents of change in their communities and the nation as a whole.
  • Mera Yuva Bharat will function as “an overarching enabling mechanism powered by technology to provide larger opportunities to youth, which will benefit individuals in the age group of 15-29 years, in line with the definition of ‘youth’ as per the National Youth Policy,” according to Union minister Anurag Singh Thakur, who briefed the Cabinet on the decisions.
  • The beneficiaries of programmes designed especially for teenagers will be those between the ages of 10 and 19. Mera Yuva Bharat would serve as a “phygital platform,” combining opportunities for digital connection with physical activity.
  • “Youth will be connected through various schemes and programmes to accomplish this goal,” the minister stated, adding that the organization will give youth fair access to realize their dreams and create a “Viksit Bharat” across the whole government.
