What is  LGBTQIA+ ?

●   National Medical Commission bans conversion therapy for LGBTQIA+ community, labelling it as “professional misconduct.”

●   Conversion therapy deemed wrong under Indian Medical Council regulations following Madras High Court directive.

●   LGBTQIA+ encompasses lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual individuals, and others not conforming to cisgender heterosexual norms.

●   Supreme Court decriminalised section 377, which criminalised homosexual relations, on September 6, 2018.
